Of course, we knew we were in for a lot of colds and viruses when we enrolled Kaitlyn in Mother's Day Out. She has a little cold and it has made Kaitlyn very cranky lately. I have been up with her at night and it is hard to keep her occupied during the day. I think most of it has to do with lack of sleep. She is like me, loves her sleep.
Today, I made a cake for Brandon's friend John. Brandon and John have a birthday tradition where they make a cake for each other each year. Brandon has been swamped with work lately so I made it for him. And whenever a cake was made in the Klein household, us kids were able to lick the spatula and bowl. It always made us happy. Here is Kaitlyn getting chocolate on her face. She didn't care for it too much, but she sure loves cookies. She says "cook" all the time.

Looks like you've got a great helper on your hands! In our house, Emma and her daddy can get into an all-out competition to see who gets to be the privileged bowl-licker. It's usually easy enough to solve the problem by using several spatulas.
